University College London Hospital: Institute of Sports, Exercise and Health

The project comprised the fit out of the 1st and 2nd floors of 170 Tottenham Court Road to convert the existing open plan office shell into The Institute of Sports, Exercise and Health.

In addition to the main fit out, the works included the installation of new mechanical and electrical services and provision of new air handling units and additional plant on the roof, strengthening of the second floor in preparation for the MRI installation along with general attendance on the MRI and X ray machine installation for Siemens. Works also included the new laboratory fit out along with the installation of all IPS units and fixed furniture, the main public areas were finished with hi gloss panelling, hi gloss doorsets and bespoke joinery items.  Finally, to link the unit with the rest of the building the Northern and Southern fire escape stairs and lifts between the roof level to reception/ground floor were upgraded.

This was an extremely fast track project, being completed in just 24 weeks despite many variations during the course of the works.
